ABOUT US
Opened in 1994 by husband and wife team, Patrick Farnault and
Robin Seger, Sugar Reef is a colorful oasis of tropical charm complete
with ocean breezes, swaying palms, turquoise water and wonderful food.
A French and American couple, Chef Patrick Farnault combines his
traditional French training with the colors and flavors of the tropics,
creating the light flavorful menu of Sugar Reef. Robin Seger, a
designer, has created the vibrant mosaics and tropical decor,
which sets the tone of Sugar Reef.
Just south of Fort Lauderdale’s Port and north of the
high-rise canyon lands of Miami Beach, one crosses an invisible line
into old Florida – Hollywood Beach. The last bastion of laid back beach
living, Hollywood Beach is an island only one block wide with an ocean
front broadwalk that runs for over three miles. Small motels,
restaurants, old beach houses…it’s almost a time warp… sweet sea
breezes or gale force winds, we love it. It’s not corporate, no quota
to meet, just the laid back feel of island life with great food, great
wine with a great view.
